My name is Jonas and I am a virtualization administrator at Aalborg University. My primary focus during my employment has been management of VMware vSphere environments and the servers and storage connected to these.

Who am I you ask? I am:

  • M.Sc. in Computer Science with Machine Intelligence and Formal Verification as my speciality
  • vExpert 2015
  • An avid gamer and enjoy all sorts of video games from Minecraft and CubeWorld over Civilization to Borderlands and GTA and World of Warcraft also has my interest after 10 years
  • Interested in new hardware and software technology
  • Very interested in virtualization!
  • I also like exploring new things in programming

So what triggers me about virtualization?

  • Easy provisioning – we can provide users with VMs in minutes!
  • Automation – Hardware maintenance is made easy when you can automate moving, reconfiguring etc VMs
  • Life cycle management – Quickly provision a VM for a job, run the job, kill the VM. Easy!
